“ Keeping a handle on Accounts Receivable in a lesson practice with upwards of 60 students is a necessary task and can be a second career all unto itself. Keeping students informed of their payment status and managing payments, credits, fees, cancelations, reschedulings and a myriad of other lesson administrative tasks really keeps my coffee maker on high most of the time.
Fortunately, I stumbled across Music Teacher's helper and my lesson studio finances, as well as many other aspects of running a lesson studio, are so much more manageable. The time savings of using Music Teacher's helper alone is worth $100 or more a month too, if you take into consideration how much we music teachers make per hour. The cost of twenty some odd dollars a month for this amazing service is free for me... if you consider that billing the old fashioned way cost about the same amount in just postage alone as Music Teacher's Helper entire service, not to mention the time spent (lost) stuffing envelopes with invoices. Valuable communication tool that saves time
“ Even though I only teach a small number of students, Music Teacher's Helper has become a valuable tool in organizing my records and communicating with my students and their parents. I really have become quite dependent on it to keep track of the lessons that have been taught and the payments I've received. It has also given me a clear, written record of which students are consistent in their lesson attendance and payments. Being able to e-mail billing statements has simplified and made money issues more comfortable, especially when dealing with student's parents who are friends and neighbors. I rarely have students ask me about changes in lesson schedules or how much they owe me anymore because they can go online any time to get that information at their convenience, when they are thinking about it.
The simple task of going online at the end of a teaching session to record lessons taught and payments received has saved me a great deal of time by having all the information I need quickly available and organized. Because this was the first year that I had an entire year's records on Music Teacher's Helper, I especially noticed how much time I saved when gathering the information needed to file my taxes.
